Oh, Lockheed, I require some of your potent insights on currency trends.
I'm still in Moscow, and I've pegged my teaching salary to the dollar (which is getting more disadvantageous by the day).
When I started off, the dollar was at 28 roubles and change, and now we've slid all the way down to 26.7 or so.
Here's my question, Mighty Hayheehoo, should I bail on the dollar and go to a rouble system, or try to stick it out with the greenback? Are we looking for any kind of recovery?
Also, any knowledge on the rouble would be nice - I know it's being supported by all those windfall petro monies, but is there any reason to dowubt its new-found security?
Or maybe I should fly to Euro (or, as the russians call it, the 'yevro)'???
