You're As Cold As Ice...

Well, I've been digging through some photos taken earlier in the year, and why the hell I was purchasing ice cream for Curious in sub zero degree weather while working a tragic overnight euromarket shift knocks me on my ass as to how fucking retarded this phantom economic recovery is. Tomorrow we expect 220,000 new phantom jobs and the unemployment rate to finally tick down to 5.4% Of course the only good market to trade this release is the bond market, but these days I simply can't wake up in time for 830am est, because I don't have any sleep to wake up from. I also got kicked out of my seat at Mcdonalds the other day, so 'Richard' could wipe down the table(yes, he's multi-tasking). Yes, Richard the top Fry Guy, has proven to be assertive and takes initiative. At Wendy's if you're that good, you get the sweet fucking title of 'Top Grill', along with a hat emblazoned with said powerful designation. In other news, Crude oil spikes back above 55 on a dipsy doodle call from Goldman Sachs for a 105 price target in a few years, (we continued to buy dips down at 50-52), well above inflation adjusted shocks of the late 70's. I'm assuming Goldman got long as fuck at 57, and needed to closeout a boatload of shit trades at a reasonable loss after the recent sell off, so they release a pipedream/nightmare call. Otherwise, it's time to short Goldman itself. It's these ridiculous 'panic' highfalutin analyst calls that end up shellshocking financial behemoths. Nortel (NT) is still unable to make a clean close above the 10 EMA, although the double bottom is still bid well across all exchanges... Posted by Hello

And What a Pleasant Day it Twas...

This is the Nature Audobon House in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, a photo the family and I took about three weekends ago. We first and foremost scurried around the park until we found walking sticks, also known as 'brat' sticks... Posted by Hello

The Viscosity of Pasta Sauce and Market Depth...

First mildly warmer night in New York City as Consumer Confidence drops below expectations approaching Friday's NonFarm Payrolls(the important number within the Unemployment Rate). Ladies and Gentleman, NFP is the first Friday of every month. The kids, mom, and I bobbled over to Fairways grocery, a few block north on Broadway, which we will make an effort to utilize from now on, instead of Food Emporium's overpriced and total lack of fresh and quality food products. There are large glistening buckets of assorted olives by the cheese section, and I procured jumbo olives with habernero as you can see, and Hay warned, or shall I say, dared Curious to eat one, and now he can't fall asleep because his belly and mouth burn. Aside from this, I stayed away from Nortel's(NT) increased 'viscosity' at the close, although I will be occasionally trying to take advantage of it from now on. So far, a key bounce forming a double bottom at all time lows, with the 10 day EMA capping any upside retracements. Posted by Hello

Tea and Oranges All the Way From China...

Once again gripped by cyclical acute anxiety and intrusive thinking, a deer in headlights, I froze as I was run over by Lucent (LU) today while uselessly focusing on an event that never came to fruition, also learning that my PnL is all fucked up, which means I got to dig out of a hole in April. And the fact that you can get 'run over' in a stock that has a daily range of barely 7 cents and trades the largest volume in NYSE means your system needs tweaking or you're way to fucking sleepy slow. I visited Peanuts the teddy bear with pee on his feet. Torrential rains this day, I struggle to type with my sweatpants pulled up very high again... I thought it was in the past, but it comes back worse every time... Posted by Hello

DJIA 10474.19... COMPX 1995.54

It's snowing out again, and the molasses of measured pace tightening is causing a droll in my trading. The subway took over 45 minutes to get from W72nd yo Wall street on the express. Opiate laden subway conductor couldn't even read. I just got run over.

DJIA Midday -50.32 Nortel Below Estimates...

Nortel NT gaps down on open to 2.78 after failing to meet street estimates. 3rd Quarter loss of 259 million versus a gain of 131 million in the quarter last year. -6 cents versus +3 cents per share. Retraces on relatively high volume, but analysts modeling based on 42% gross margin prospects seems farfetched. I remember back in Tel Aviv, in 2003 whenever I had a Maccabee beer with any U.S. citizen in a Bar along the Mediterranean, they were all Nortel contractors.

Even the Crudest of Analysis Can Gain on Crude...

We definitely buy any dips between 50-52 and bounces of the 1:2 Gann, long front month at 52, with an upside target of 60.25. and stops at 49 as the pandemonia is yet to be valid in the pricing compared to the inflation adjusted levels of the 1970's and the Saudi petrodollar program. Also preparing for any shorts. I'm baking sugar cookies again, and after a brief switch to the voluminous Lucent(LU), I'm back to making markets in Nortel(NT). Posted by Hello

Hotdog Prices Volatile Approaching FOMC Meeting...

As front month crude oil approaches a daunting $58.00 per contract, and the U.S. current account deficit tallies in well below -600 billion, we brace for Tuesday's FOMC meeting when the senile dementia of an old jewish man with glasses continues to decelerate the phantom jobless growth at a 'measured' pace, nevermind...this is really about the volatility of the hotdog prices on W72nd and Broadway, which boasted the recession special after 2001c.e. when dogs were a mere .75 cents. These days, with the euro's rise of over 30 percent to the greenback, the foreigners who own the shop demand .95 cents one day, a dollar the next, and then back down to .90 per hotdog, basically giving a heads up to the greenback's fluctuations as of late. Crude and Cookies...

We baked sugar cookies for the kids last night as Curious watched in delight and Hay feigned disinterest but covertly peeked her head around the kitchen corner. We were sure to let the internal heat from the oven continue to brown the edges of the sugar cookies in an attempt to abate the rising cost of oil and its many by products as a double top is potentially being broken at 55.00 in April Crude as correlated with the sharp increase in MadMax video rentals. We don't need another hero...Posted by Hello

I Like to Gaze at Bakery Window Treats...

If you linger too long around this quaint little bakery on W71st and Columbus Ave during the evening usually around spring and summer, you may run the risk of being pulled in by a balanced mixture of lime and dark green vines which will turn your flesh and bones into a subservient tree. Trade Deficit -58.3 Billion... It's Your Favorite Foreign Movie...

Don't get me wrong, consumption is an imperative necessity, but when it's misguided you become a puppet with the strings attached at your sweaty balls. The Weak Dollar boosted exports a robust 100 bil, yet Maroon China, formerly Red, dumped some heavy product on the United States Moderatepower formerly Superpower making exports a drop in the bucket. The Hybrid of Centralization and Pick and Choose Capitalism is becoming the optimum growth method in the face of gobbling globalization. As I said before, the World Bank, Eurozone, IMF, and United Nations are Communist Sleeper Cells and they don't even know it. And guess who's their Military Arm? Dufuses... rich or poor, you're all monkeys being lulled into an unhealthy consumption Ball and Chain, pleasantly distracted and drunk off pop-cultural social monopoly, unknowingly habitually dependent and getting down on your knees, the beast is gonna chew you up soon and shit you out and refuse to wipe his butt.

It's Like Taking a Meat Cleaver to Michalengelo's David...

I return home today with a scowl worthy only of churnful trading. The kids are still scared, whispering discernment, while turning down the television. Pissdom is becoming a useless emotion to me these days. Being on the right side all day, and having to scratch a beauty because some asshole fat fingers 2 million shares of Nortel(NT) at the most sensless time. It's like hitting on a 20 in blackjack while the dealer's showing a 7, for $20,000 per penny tick. But as always, in hindsight, this outlier anomaly shouldn't upset me, because as you can see in the photo, after being a cockteasing 60 dandy degrees fahrenheit yesterday, NYC is once again having a snowstorm today. I don't know whether to be long spring/short winter approaching the Ides of March. Posted by Hello

Nortel NT Midday Update DJIA +27.34 SPX +5.03

It's the first reasonably mild day since relative eternity as spring gently taps on the door of the empire city. Nortel NT tests the 38.2 Fibo since the sell off around 3.10 and is meandering on the threshold of the previous descending triangle base with solid midday volume around 23 mil. Next upside target of 3.18 along the 50 EMA. We finally ate through a fat fucker on NYSE offering 5 mil around 3.05...

Immaculate...

This is a photo I took of the cleanest public access bathroom I've ever sauntered upon. Whenever in this area of Manhattan, I never get unduly worried when I drink any amount of fluids. It is on the second floor of a flagship retail home furnishing store approaching the threshold of Soho and the East Village. Magnificent. They even have tissues. I would preferably like to keep this hidden gem for myself, so I will not mention the name of the store. Posted by Hello

Oh What I Missed in My Youth...

Please open a separate window and have your speakers on and click on the following link: http://www.scoutsongs.com/lyrics/hokeypokey.html
Thereupon, click back on this window... Curious was confused as how to do the Hokey Pokey and the kids at P.S. 61.8 lightly chaffed him , so I tried to perform it myself but could not as my own childhood was grossly detached from the perennial childhood baby boomer offspring that learned playfulness that transcended all socio-economic-racial distinctions. After much hassling, Hay finally dropped her grudging intellectualism and performed the dance up to the left hand segment before succumbing to paralyzing self-consciousness as you can see, and she then withdrew bashfully to dissect Alan Greenspan's latest Humphrey Hawkins testimony...

Daily Diatribe: NYC MTA Subway; DJIA +120.45

Yesterday, it took me almost 3 politically correct affirmative action hyperliberal hours to get from Wall St to W71st on the subway. It's so laughable that I'm not laughing at all. It's clearly the lousiest, dirtiest public transportation system in any major city(fucking chicken bones sprawled on the floor), and they have the gall to raise the fare again within the isolated inflationary island of NYC where prices go up, and wages go down. You'd think an accomplished entrepeneur would have the sensibility to optimize consumer sentiment with pricing power(then again, probably not), and if I keep this fulmination of our Soviet style zero motivation incentive government municipal shitshow of a labor force...

Midday Friday: DJIA +85.72 SPX +10.27

Relatively sunny outside. Nortel(NT) near term price magnetism(10 EMA) around 2.90. I would sell a break as an evening star is slightly pregnant, but the major indices are too strong on nonfarm payrolls which posted 262,000 new phantom jobs created in February. My back is aching, and I will avoid churning yawning markets.

Agitation Time Out...

The sun is emoting a pale flat white autumn/spring-esque demeanor of the skyline of Wall street as I make the slow adjustment to daylight hours (2:08pm est). I'm in a daze. Highlight of the day, if not the week, as crude oil approached critical highs again, I discovered a pleasant bathroom tucked away in the room adjacent to the trading floor. It has the sterile lights of most corporate or public restroom facilities, and is quite clean and reminds me of the bathrooms in the old public library in Lincoln, Rhode Island. I'm rather fond of the bathroom here, although the company will be moving to Broad Street a few blocks west in a few weeks. I've visited it four times already today, just to say hello at the calm tin dividers amongst the stalls. A brief respite, and strangely peaceful.
